NAWBO D/FW forms alliances with other organizations
on a local, national, and international level. We support these groups
and periodically coordinate our joint efforts. NAWBO D/FW members may
receive additional benefits from our association.

Fort Worth Business Assistance Center (Fort
Worth BAC)

The Fort Worth Business Assistance
Center assists businesses from inception to start-up and growing. The
BAC provides: free start-up counseling, help with your business plan,
tax information, SBA and other financing options, a fully stocked resource
library complete with Entrepreneur Start-up guides, small business books,
and a computer lab complete with the latest business software. The BAC
consists of 13 different service providers for small business. Each provider
offers assistance to the public at no charge. The goal of the BAC is to
broaden and diversify the economy, while making Fort Worth and Tarrant
County a better place to live and work. The BAC is located in the historic
James E. Guinn School, 1150 South Fwy (I-35 S @ E. Rosedale St), Fort
Worth. Business hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. The BAC
is funded through the City of Fort Worth and the Small
Business Administration. It is also designated
as a Women's Business Center by the U.S. Small Business Administration's
Office of Women's Business ownership.
Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA)

TSCPA is a nonprofit, voluntary, professional
organization representing Texas CPAs. Based in Dallas the Society has 20
local chapters statewide and has one of the largest in-state memberships
of any CPA organization in the country. The Society is committed to serving
the public interest with programs that advance the highest standards of
ethics and practice within the CPA profession.
Women’s Business Council-Southwest
(WBCS)

The Women’s Business Council Southwest is a nonprofit organization that
facilitates mutually beneficial procurement opportunities between women-owned
businesses, corporations, and government. Affiliated with the Women’s
Business Enterprise National Council, the WBCS certifies women-owned businesses
in a region that includes northern Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.
The WBCS provides networking opportunities, major procurement events,
business development education, and mentoring.

Founded as the National Foundation
of Women Business Owners, the Center for Women’s Business Research is
a non-profit research, consulting and leadership training organization.
It serves as the premier source of information regarding women business
owners and their firms, worldwide. Its mission is to support the growth
of women business owners and their enterprises through conducting research

National Women’s Business Owners
Corporation (NWBOC)

NWBOC is a not-for-profit corporation established to increase competition
for corporate and government contracts through implementation of a pioneering
economic development strategy for women business owners. NWBOC has launched
a national certification program for woman owned and controlled businesses
as an alternative to the multiple state and local certifications required

NAWBO Political Action Committee
(PAC)

The NAWBO PAC is a non-partisan federal political action committee,
lead by prominent, experienced businesswomen who are devoted to furthering
the public policy objectives of NAWBO. The PAC seeks out, endorses, and
provides financial support to national candidates and nationally elected
representatives who clearly and aggressively support the public policy
initiatives established by NAWBO’s Public Policy Committee. For more information

Vote For Business

NAWBO National has entered into a partnership with the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce to put all of the tools of the election process at your fingertips.
Together, they have created a Web site that provides NAWBO members and
their employees with instant access to specific voter information. The
site will allow NAWBO members and their employees to register to vote,
find their polling place, obtain information on candidates running in
Federal and state elections, and request absentee ballots.

Women’s Leadership Exchange (WLE)

Founded by women entrepreneurs for women
entrepreneurs, Women's Leadership Exchange (WLE) is a national conference/information
program that provides established women business owners with knowledge,
tools and connections needed to drive business growth. WLE is also focused
on creating greater visibility in the media for successful women business
owners. WLE presents a conference bringing together successful women business
owners from more than 15 Texas/Oklahoma business associations each spring,
and provides a free business e-newsletter, The Exchange. To register

Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP)

NAWBO is a strong partner with Women Impacting
Public Policy (WIPP). This strategic bond amplifies our voices as women
and as business owners. The success we've achieved speaks volumes to the
power of the women's vote and NAWBO members. WIPP is a national, bi-partisan
public policy organization representing more than 505,000 women in business
and women business owners. WIPP does not represent any specific party;
rather a committee, through surveys, reviews options and alternatives
that impact our businesses.

Les Femmes Chefs D’enterprises Mondiales (FCEM)

Femmes Chefs D’enterprises Mondiales is also known as The
World Association of Women Entrepreneurs. NAWBO members form the US affiliate
of this international organization. Members can attend World Congresses
and access women business owners in affiliated groups in 33 countries
around the world.
