The firm regularly represents clients in such areas as Corporate and Securities, Litigation, Intellectual Property, Health Care, Labor and Employment, Legislative and Regulatory, Real Estate, Tax and Estate Planning, Technology, Bankruptcy, Aviation and International Law. As part of the firm’s commitment to excellence, a common characteristic stands out: a focus on practical, cost-effective solutions to legal problems that add value and emphasize what works for our clients based on the highest professional standards.

Jackson Walker is dedicated to supporting organizations that advocate the advancement of women in business. Because of this dedication, Jackson Walker women attorneys take active roles in the leadership of those organizations. Attorneys Retta Miller and Stephanie Chandler serve as General Counsel, in-kind, for the D/FW and San Antonio NAWBO chapters, handling legal matters for NAWBO and providing legal advice. Jackson Walker is a major corporate sponsor of both the San Antonio and D/FW chapters and has been honored as D/FW NAWBO Corporate Partner of the Year. The firm continues to serve as a sponsor of the Greater Dallas Chamber’s Annual Women’s Business Conference, the Texas Conference for Women, and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). Jackson Walker attorneys also serve on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Women’s Business Council – Southwest and on the Advisory Board for the Women’s Museum in Dallas.

Jackson Walker offers a free legal hotline to the San Antonio (210.978.7701) and D/FW (214.953.6035) NAWBO chapter members. The hotline provides NAWBO members with legal advice regarding problems they may encounter in their professional capacity as business owners. Those problems include, for example, how to incorporate a business, how to properly terminate an employee, and how to respond when a lawsuit has been filed against the member’s business. The hotline is available during regular business hours, five days a week. Find out more about Jackson Walker and our practice areas by visiting www.jw.com.
